Flashlight of the Week

The Go! Team goes from 0 to 60 in a blink and they never pull off the redline. Their new video for "T.O.R.N.A.D.O." looks and feels like the schoolyard throwdown you've dream about, wherein you face your childhood nemesis head to head and reign victorious.

'Breaking News' Michael Jackson's Posthumous Track

Just in time for the Christmas stocking, an album of previously unreleased songs by the Michael Jackson will be available December 14. Posthumous tracks were expected and so is a little Jackson family drama since Sister LaToya and Jackson's kids question the recordings' legitimacy.

The debate is a likely attempt to boost sales, and Sony Records is glad to stir some hype with voice authentication tests.

The teaser single 'Breaking News,' which can be heard here, was  first recorded in 2007 by Eddie Cascio. It sure sounds like The King. With a bit more low-end the beat could be straight from the whiter years (ala Dangerous), but the vocals lack that signature MJ grunt/wail/punchiness.

"Karaoke version" is probably  harsh, but if it's really MJ, 'Breaking News' wasn't released for a reason.  The King has standards to uphold, right?
